The median (average) age of death in our 2018 Breed Survey was 11:

Our surveys also show the average age of death associated with different conditions:

​

  • Old age = 13

  • Cancer = 11

  • Heart disease = 9

  • IVDD (Back disease) = 5

  • Other neurological conditions  = 9
